 The Concept


KAYTRANADA, Shay Lia - CHANCES CONCEPT PAGE 

Concept 1


The first concept I have for a music video by the song 'CHANCES' will involve a very 'retro' film style look to it. It will have a feel good feel to it and will involve the use of a 'disposable camera' filter applied on top of the footage. We will apply this in post production in either Adobe after effects or Adobe premiere pro. The video will feature a girl and her friends having a 'good time' in an urban environment. The video will end will the girl and all of her friends biking off into the sunset.


Concept 2

Another concept I had for the video was a 'trancey' style video. The whole video will be themed around students on a high. We will use visual and special effects to create this.

Feedback: 

The feedback which was given after we presented was over all very positive. We were told that we think it is a very solid idea that people would enjoy and would match the song very well. We were advised to make sure that the planning was done extensively in order to achieve the best possible final video without making it cheesy or cringy. The cinematography needs to be done extremely well.

  Otis - JayZ and Kanye West R u crazy - Conor Maynard In the music video for 'R u crazy' by Conor Maynard it tells the story about an ex wanting to get back together even if you don't. The style of music video is performance as it contains lots of 'performance' from the artist. Throughout the video there is six different setups. All of the setups seem quite dark and dingy giving an almost uneasy feel to the audience which contrasts the music. In the video we the setup we see most is Conor in a long dimly lit corridor, dancing and singing. This is a very simple setup, however is very effective at creating the 'intense' atmosphere I believe they want you to feel when watching the video. This is why it ultimately keeps coming back to this corridor.
